"Treat your friends as you do your pictures, and place them in their best light."
                                                        - Jennie Jerome Churchill (mother of Winston Churchill)

Here are highlights from conferences and Generation E film screenings that I was featured at since early 2004. Go here to read the preview articles for my screenings at San Francisco State University. Please wait for all the images to load.

November 20, 2004. Speaking to young activists from across the country on harm reduction drug education.
At a conference held by Students for Sensible Drug Policy on the University of Maryland, College Park.

Rob Kampia (center) is the co-founder and national director of the Marijuana Policy Project.
Sometime past midnight, at least twenty of us from the Students for Sensible Drug Policy
conference left our hotel, took the subway, and then walked through the worst ghetto I'd
ever seen to hang out at his place near Washington D.C. Not a good idea for me, since
we left at 3 in the morning only to have to wake up a few hours later for the following
morning's conference activities. I was so sleep-deprived on that trip!!

November 13, 2004. Speaking in New Orleans at an international conference held by the Harm Reduction Coalition.
The panel addressed how drug policy has negatively affected youth cultures. My focus was on the rave scene.

With Micah Frazier, who I interviewed for Generation E
when she worked for the Harm Reduction Coalition.
She was also a fellow speaker on the youth issues panel.

Lisa Moore, a fellow speaker at the Harm Reduction conference and
professor of health from my school San Francisco State University.

Kicking it with DanceSafe members from New York, Atlanta,
and St Louis at the Harm Reduction conference

Forget the conference. We're hungry, it's time for dinner! Our destination:
New Orleans sushi!! It's good, but Bay Area sushi's way better. Sitting with
me are fellow DanceSafe members from New York, Atlanta, and St Louis.

March 10, 2004. Debuting Generation E on the West Coast at the University of California, Berkeley.

Abby Bair, national outreach coordinator for Students for Sensible Drug Policy, at the
New England College Convention in New Hampshire - January 2004. Although I could not be
in attendance, Abby arranged to show Generation E to about 60 members of her organization
during the convention. This was the first screening ever of the documentary. Thanx Abby!
