"Treat your friends as you do your pictures, and place them in their best light."
                                                        - Jennie Jerome Churchill (mother of Winston Churchill)
The second annual Love Parade in San Francisco drew quite possibly a hundred thousand or more electronic dance music fans to the historic Civic Center Plaza on Saturday, September 24, 2005. Plenty of afterparties took place later that night. The official one, however, was held across the street at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium by the crews Skills, Spundae, and Bassrush. Please wait for all the images to load.

As usual, I was just off dancing by myself for most of the night. But I did run
into friends throughout the evening and managed to get some shots with them.

Damn, I hate it when people take the picture before I'm ready, as if there aren't enough fuct up
shots of me already. Anyway, this man here may look like Boy George, but he's really John B, one
of the headlining DJs from the drum & bass room. He played a track with lyrics saying, "Cuz I've
been stalking you on MySpace!" Yeah I know, evil ass Fox News owns that site, but I went wild
when those lyrics came on! As you can see, John B made a custom shirt to promote that song.

This is the backstage area of the drum & bass room. I believe everyone back there were VIP guests
& ticket holders. Normally, I don't care for the VIP areas. But apparently, the MCs who were rhyming
for the DJs could not be seen from the dance floor. I could hear them flowing but couldn't locate a
single person standing around the DJ who had a mic in hand. My guess is that they were just kicking
it backstage. How stupid! Raves nowadays require you to pay VIP prices just to see your MC.

Some glowstickers showing off their skills on the dance floor. The guy on the
right had four glowstix tied to each of the two strings he was swinging around.
Since these are all Asian dudes, this was probably the trance room. Hahaha!!!

Well, I tried taking a photo of my friends staffing the DanceSafe table and this
is how the shot turned out. Either I was truly fuct up or the picture got cropped
at some point before or during development. I would like to assume the latter.Back to miscellaneous/main party pics
